As it would appear the Executive Branch (President Obama)  of the Government looks to be making Chief Executive decisions for any and all businesses that Stimulus dollars touch.  Mr. Geithner hasn’t ruled it out as he said in his interview with Katie Couric.  So where does this madness stop?  When is enough government controll enough?  How about…………… NOW!

Okay it’s my turn…

We are in the midst of a fight to preserve freedom and the America that my Grandfathers fought for. They didn’t pass the freedom down, but they did pass down a love of freedom and liberty and a willingness to do my part to defend and sustain it. It is a legacy I want my children to see and so I must of necessity fight the fight to preserve it for me and my posterity that they may do likewise. Freedom has been under attack from the very beginning and will be, I suspect, forever. And so it goes that we should fight for it now as they did before and will likely do again.

What profound foresighted (is that a word) statement. What was the cost to preserve and maintain and even gain in the first place our freedoms? This will be my Daily Diggin, because I want to discuss What these costs are/were and how we can best make good use of them…

Tea Anyone?!?!

More than 230 years ago in the waters of Boston Harbor, a defining moment in the history of what would be America occurred.  It came as what would be known as the Boston Tea Party, as an exhibition that a free people would not bow to a Monarch, would not be taxed grievously at the whims of the existing government.  These were free people, demonstrating as strongly as they could.  They were displeased with the events unfolding, which I think we all can relate to.  In the words of Joshua Wyeth (With), “We were merry…  I never worked harder in my life.”

Thomas Paine said, “These are the times that try men’s souls.”  Which of us haven’t felt that?  But united we can be merry and work, side by side with one another in an effort to demonstrate once again, as before.

It’s easy to see the damage that recent decisions in Washington are doing to our freedoms and to our economy. But it’s not just Washington. And it’s not just the Democrats. We believe that the best way to fix Washington is to start closer to home and present the case to Utahns that our Elected leaders are supporting much of the same big-government socialism that is constantly creeping in. We believe that many Utahns support the Republican leadership by default and don’t pay much attention to politics.  I think most Utahns want a return to the “Ancient Principles” Jefferson clung to when penning our Declaration of Independence and were the foundation of our Constitution.   It’s our mission to awaken our neighbors and start within our own state first. Then…we’ll be united and ready to take our Tea to Washington.

To all who want to be Merry, even in the face of hard and displeasing times, and are willing to work harder than you ever have in your life, join us.

And the Audacity of Hope Continues

This hits the the heart of what the polidiggs.comflag-and-constitution want to combat. We would like to open this up to the forum though. Take a look at the following link and respond:

It is our firm belief that this is a large part of what is wrong, on so many levels. But we want hear what you think as well.
What is amazing to me is that they can claim all these reasons why they aren’t obligated to divulge but at the end of the day it’s that they don’t want to. They would rather rob the people and stay anonymous than be “transparent” and risk losing the business. Has it donned on the Fed that this level of “avoidparency” just fuels the public’s disdain for the whole system. You can only hide their sins for so long and expect that the people won’t do on their own, that which you are afraid they would do anyway. The people have a right to know how this mortgage which has been placed on all of our heads is being spent. And not unlike closing the loan, we have a right to see the settlement statement to know where the funds are going.

On the topic of the Fed, they are a large part of the problem and will be part of a daily diggin’ soon to be released.
